its been 3 weeks since entering ns
im glad to be in one piece
training aint fun
not when im stuck in ninja coy
with an oc wearing a red beret
who doesnt tolerate one person dragging boots
but still
there are a lot of things to remember.....
time flies by exceptionally fast when i book out
these 50++ hours will be very precious
field camps coming soon
which is not a good thing.......
still i appreciate the outside world much more
simple pleasures like eating out with friends and watching a movie
feel fantastic
compared to being stuck in tekong
i hope myself and other recruits out there will make it through to POP
then another path awaits

tml marks the end of civilian life for close to 2 years
i'll be lying if i said i wasnt feeling sian/apprehensive etc
i keep having so many thoughts in my head
my bag is packed and i am ready to go physccally
but mentally and spiritually i feel stuck in this comfort zone of leading a civilian life
its times like these that u wish time would slow down
just one more day of enjoyment
then another
and another
u keep pushing back the inevitable
why i guess its the fear of the unknown
i just want to sleep tight tonite
.......................

now now gotch bout 48 hours or so before mish shipped off to tekong island
cant really say i look foward to it

monday afternoon went with my relative to the jurong bird park
its been a long time since i been there
interesting to see birds flying around
watched one bird show
got a bird that can paint
and its dubbed picasso
met up with my old classmates from jc on monday nite
more of a guys nite out
had pizza at a restaurant at forum
first time eating there
the foods nice but the cost is
expensive
they even have peking duck pizza
after that had a long time playing bridge at starbucks
ah brigde
the last time i played bridge so long was like
late last year
several months ago
tuesday
accompanied my relative to the sg zoo in the afternoon
looked at animals and snapped some pics
unfortunately the heavy downpour forced us to wait for one hour plus under shelter
which is unsual for it usually doesnt rain so heavily in april
after that went to ps to play my favourite arcade game for a while
still getting thrased by those pros
went to meet my buddy joel at toa payoh for dinner
had mos burger
wanted to eat unagi rice burger but it wasnt available
so settled for mos chicken meal
super licking delicious
after that went to play some pool
wanted to catch a movie
but the time wasnt realli suitable
to joel
hm relax man
no need to stress out so much about work
politics is inevitable
take it easy yeah
next month i treat u to a feast, and a nice pressie
until then i better save up my money
cos i saw the game i been waiting for ages
kingdom hearts 2 NTSC u/c version
finally 95 bucks is the cost
planning to buy it on my first bookout
haha just in time for my 19th bday on 16th april.....

and so april fools day has just passed
officially i got bout erm 5-6 days left of freedom
last sat
met up with ben who enlisted earlier in march
filled me in on whats going on in tekong
slacked around
watched V for vendetta
politically oriented
with lots of insight into the possible of totalitarian states in the future that will crumble
after that met up with joel
had dinner at ps
the usual ayam pagang
classic
no matter how mani times i eat that i still love it
played a bit of MMT2
hey i already told ur i hopelessly addicted to it
spending money everyday on arcade is dangerous for ur wallet
tuesday nite
met up with he xiang ex sjimate and ex classmate
talked crap here and there
speculating what will happen to us in like a weeks time
etc etc
i admire him for working until the end of march...
that leaves only a week or so of playing time
thursday nite
my uncle from canada came to sg
to visit my family and me
and more specifically to send me off into tekong
picked him up at the airport and then went to laze around before heading to marina south for some seafood with my parents
friday spend time with my uncle at lunch,
went to get him a sim card to use
turns out the procedure is tedious
foreigners have to show their passports before u can buy a pre paid card
not mani pple carry ur passports with u i guess
sat 1 april
met up with darren one of my ex cca mates
and currently in the army training to be a MP
talked a lot
gave me some tips for bmt
wathched ice age 2
nice show
show its a cartoon
but if u want a good laugh
go and watch it
the poor squirrel
fails to get his nut after unpteenth attempts
i'll be glad to have that squirel's determination and tenacity
the next few days will be challenging...
oh finally applied for uni courses at NTU and smu
like just a day or two before the closing date
hope to get into one of my choices
